Layers provide more control over your image edits. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to create and manage layers in Luminar. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] Layers are a powerful tool in Luminar,…and what I like about them, they're also easy…and fun to use, and what I'd like to do…in this movie is go you an overview…of how layers work in this application.…So what I have here is an image,…and let's take it back to the bottom layer.…So I've created four layers here…and I'm going to go over those right now.…Now the base layer, since I brought in a RAW file…is the RAW Develop, and that's what I like to do…when I bring in RAW files is just save…that base layer for processing that RAW file…using the RAW Develop filter.…
And so I've done that here,…and let me show you, that's what we started with,…and that's what we have after RAW development.…And I can make these adjustments right here.…So I did a little bit of exposure, shadows,…I did a bit, a bit of clarity.…Came over to the Lens tab, a little distortion.…Little bit of de-vignetting.…I didn't do anything in Transform.…So the bottom layer is really processing my RAW file.…
Now if you're bringing in a JPEG or a TIFF…
