Many images look great in black and white. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to transform your picture to black and white. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] There are times when black and white…photography is definitely the way to go.…We have a couple different options…with the Skylum suite of applications,…and what I mean by that is,…we have a filter within Luminar itself…that's great for black and white photography,…but then Skylum also has some other applications,…one of them in particular Tonality,…and with Luminar 2018 we can access…those other applications as a plugin…and work with them right here in this interface.…
So I'm going to show you both right now,…because both are really great options.…So we start out with this image right here.…It's sort of a panned, blurred image…of a colt running, and on the basic level here…I did my raw develop, and didn't do a whole lot of stuff.…Just kind of cleaned it up just a bit.…Then I go, okay I want to do some…black and white work, and again I always think…going on another layer is the way to go.…So I created a new adjustment layer,…just right up here, selected New Adjustment Layer,…and created this layer right here.…
