- [Voiceover] Above all else in design, a flower becomes a stand-in for beauty. And if one flower is beautiful, then many flowers must be spectacular! I think this is why it's so easy to carve a logo out of a bed of roses, or a field of poppies. Why as a designer we are prone to decorate, if you will, with floral abundance? Flowers become the central themes around which we express the magnificence of nature. And it is every culture on earth that has come to this point on their own. Every society looked at the flower, in their culture, and placed it on a pedestal, in their lore, their ceremonies of life and death. It is an icon that transcends like no other in design.
