- Early in this chapter, I mentioned a quote from Picasso where he expressed how hard it is to revert back to drawing like a child. This challenge isn't to make you draw like a child as much as it is to loosen up your preconceived notions of perfection. I think this will even catch you off guard when you see the results. Hopefully this will be useful even when not trying to give a hand drawn esthetic to a solution. You'll need a pen, a pencil, and something to draw on, and simple image of some kind of an object or even a logo. Not too much detail. If it's a pectoral, that might work best. I'm going to use this bear king logo by the designer Nikita Lebedev. I'd like you to redraw your image on your paper and be pretty faithful to it so that when you're done, you'll have a drawing of the original image, but because it's hand drawn, now it will look a little bit more naive in style.
