Using reverb and delay
In this video, we're going to add reverb and delay to our mix. The good news is that the process is pretty much the same for both effects. You can insert a reverb or delay plugin right on a channel, or you can set up an effects return like we've already done. Generally, using an effects return is the preferred way to do this for two reasons. First, it allows you to send multiple elements in your mix to the same delay or reverb. And second, it saves CPU power when mixing in the box since you don't need to insert a separate reverb or delay plugin on every channel that needs reverb or delay. However, if you only intend to use a reverb or delay on one specific element in your mix, there's certainly no harm in inserting it right on that channel. We'll look at how to do both in this video. Let's open Space Designer on our reverb aux return. Making sure that it's zero dry and maybe max wet or closer to max wet. Leave it at negative ten for now. And then we can start playing around with this…
