Step sequencing and sound design in Ultrabeat
- [Voiceover] Now we're gonna take a look at step sequencing in Ultrabeat. And as we mentioned in an early video, Ultrabeat's step sequencer is at the bottom of the interface, we're going to want to bring it up into full view by clicking full view on the lower right hand corner. We're also going to want to turn our sequencer on by clicking this power icon on the lower left corner, and I'm just going to bring up the tempo of our project to 128. Now, Ultrabeat's step sequencer will play in time with the master tempo of our project, and let's hear what our factory default sounds like first. (electronic bass music) The sounds in the factory kit are kind of eh, and pretty uninspiring. So, we're going to want to go in and let's start to create some of our own sounds as we step sequence them. So, first, I'm going to go to a blank pattern. We can change up the patterns of Ultrabeat's sequencer by clicking this pattern drop down menu, let's hear what some of the other patterns sound like…
