Recording MIDI in takes

- As we record our mini performances, there are several ways to deal with multiple takes as you record. And then how to piece them together once you're done. In this movie, we'll explore how to set up MIDI recording for multiple takes and then make a composite or comp of them. So, first to set up multiple takes recording, we want to set the locators to cycle over the area that you want to record several passes of. So in this song, I want to record between the bars of 17 to 21. So I'm going to set up a cycle range for that area. You can just click into the cycle area. If you want to click and drag or you can do any number of ways to establish a cycle range. In other words, if I'm over here, I can just slide it back. As long as I've got our four bars total and also I can take a look at those bars and how the range is. If I go into my custom mode of my LCD I can see them going from 17 to 21.
