3/30/2021He starts with building the foundation of the track—the drums. He shows how to program beats in Ultrabeat, utilize your own samples, and create drumbeats for a variety of genres. He then moves into creating basslines for house, trap, dubstep, and other genres, and getting a great deep sub-bass sound. He next moves into creating lead synth sounds, starting with Logic Pro's built-in Alchemy and Retro synths. He also goes into using samples and adding sound effects. Then he pulls it all together and demonstrates ways to arrange the tracks, use creative effects, mix the tracks together, and use automation to finalize the mix. Plus, learn how to send your MIDI note and clock data to external synths from Logic Pro X—a fun way to experiment with analog sounds.

- [Instructor] Welcome to producing electronic music in Logic Pro. Logic is a powerful digital audio work station or DAW that allows you to easily record your ideas. Arrange them, mix, remix, and turn them in to great finished tracks. In this course I'll walk you through a bunch of techniques you can use to produce music in a variety of electronic styles and genres. I'll also cover some workflow techniques to keep your projects organized so you can focus on making music when you're inspired. We'll cover approaches for drum programming and testing out arrangements using pattern regions. Workflow with a powerful live loops feature. Show you how to create sounds and popular genres. Sound design basics with Retro and Alchemy. Sampling with Logic's sampler and quick sampler instruments. Show you how to use creative midi effects. How to compose with automation. And finally, I'll you how to configure settings in Logic to send midi node data and time clock to your analog synths. Electronic music is a pretty broad term that can be used to refer to many sub genres.
