- Now let's talk about limiters. Limiters are basically just compressors with a very high ratio, and we typically have some different types of controls that are associated with limiters that you wouldn't necessarily see on a regular compressor, which is totally cool. Because we're going to break it down. There are a lot of different applications for limiters where they can be very handy and I'll show you a couple. Let's start out with the adaptive limiter. I'm going to go over to this Juno that I have going. It's a nice pad sound. (gentle music) A couple of edits that I'll have to tweak in there at some point, but you know what? It's not going to mastering yet. Let's go ahead and check out the adaptive limiter, first.
