Employing track alternatives

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll explore an editing and arranging tool set called track alternatives. Track alternatives allow you to edit and make different versions of an audio track or a software instrument track. Essentially, this is Logic's version of track playlists, something you might be familiar with if you're a Pro Tools user. Now, to first demonstrate how to use track alternatives, we have to turn them on. We're not currently seeing track alternatives in Logic Pro X's default view. So, we can either go up to track, show track alternatives, or we can get into this if we type option T, we get the track header settings and here we can click the button down here called track alternatives, and that does the same thing. Notice, all of a sudden we've got this little up-down arrow in all of our tracks. So once that's showing, we can click off of here, and now we have track alternatives. So we're going to work on this software instrument track. It's just right now called Steinway…
