- [Instructor] Depending on what genres you might want to work in, there are some basic guidelines for drum programming. I'm just going to create a new pattern region again. And we have our tempo here set to 127 which is a pretty common tempo for various house music, dance music, EDM. So, usually that's a range of 118 to 130. And we have our empty sequencer, I do have the metronome on, just so we can count the beats and listen to the downbeats. I also have our Arie Vox Synth sample playing. And one of the things I wanted to show you is depending on the different drum programming we use and the different tempos, we can kind of use the same Arie Vox Sample but make a different kind of feeling for the track. Make it more hip hop Dubstep or more dance music EDM with just a few small changes. So let's hit play and listen to some of these beats for a second.
