- [Instructor] We've worked with the dialogue, … we worked with the sound effects, … and we've worked with the music, … and at long last, it's time to bounce our project. … Let's pull up the bounce page, it's Command+B, … and talk about what's on here. … You can make more than one format at a time. … PCM stands for pulse code modulation; … that's an uncompressed audio file. … In that PCM category, … you have AIFs and Waves … and core audio files, CAFs. … My recommendation is make a Wave … unless you know that your partner is editing … on Premiere, or Avid, or some PC-based editing system. … But if your project's going back into Final Cut, … it obviously is not a PC-based editing system, … so keep it AIF. … You may have your own choices for that, … but AIF is a good format for pulse code modulation … for uncompressed audio. … You can also make an MP3 as you're doing this. … You can make these other formats, too. … I generally make them one at a time … rather than make the main mix and the MP3 …

Many of the tools the Final Cut editor is using began there, and Logic has great tools that can be applied to dialog, music, and effects, as well the final mix. There are some things you want to do—in the right order—and some common mistakes you want to avoid. This course covers them all. Learn how to import audio from Final Cut Pro X in Logic Pro X, fix any syncing issues, edit dialog to perfection, add special effects such as pitch shifting and automated EQ, enhance music, and bounce out the final mix, either as a composite track or stems that can be mastered separately.
