- [Instructor] As a Pultec style EQ that's really cool. In addition to the Neve, Pultec style EQ is one of the classic types of equalizers. Let's take a look at this mug bass, I feel like doing something with some low end. (bass instrumental) Okay, that's a cool sound, there's a lot of stuff that might be fun to do with that. But let's take a look at what this Vintage Tube EQ Sounds like here. Now, you may recognize the layout of this EQ. This is supposed to be emulating sort of a Pultec style EQ, which is a Tube EQ, that is really a classic mainstay piece of gear. it's not so much used for surgical EQ although it can be used to clean things up. It has a lot of character and so that's why we have a drive knob here, it uses tubes that's known to make things kind of nice, you can get a nice sheen on them, you can get some punch to them.
