The main configuration file

- [Instructor] The main configuration file for Postfix is the Etsy Postfix main.cf file. This file contains global configuration options for the mail server. These configuration options may include the identification of the host, domain, mail origin and destination, as well as the mail owner, which network interfaces to answer on, and the locations of various directories for the main spool, mail queue and user mail. Let's take a look at this configuration. On rhhostl, open a terminal and type in less /etc/postfix/main.cf and hit Enter. The first thing we'll notice is the comment at the top which says the file only contains a subset of all parameters. You will want to check the man pages for more information. Let's start by going to the queue directory line. Type /and then type in the word queue and hit Enter. We can see the queue directory location is /var/spool/postfix. If you scroll a couple lines, we can see the data location is /var/lib/postfix. Now let's look for the mail owner…
