What you should know

- [Instructor] What should you know to take this course? Well, you need some Linux command-line skills. We're going to do a lot on the command-line, we're going to write some scripts, you're going to be reading some scripts and changing them up, so you need some shell command skills, some scripting. Plus we do some C programming, we look at some C programs. You don't need to know a lot about it, but you need to know some C. Plus you need to understand the computer systems a bit. You need to understand the concepts of CPU, disk, memory, and other resource bottlenecks, 'cause that's what it's all about. This course is going to be valuable to a system administrator, DevOps, and developers folks that are looking to find out where the performance problems are and how they can improve it.
