- [Instructor] We'll use our second Linux installation to demonstrate Debian package management and the AppArmor mandatory access control system. For this we'll install Ubuntu Linux 19.04 in a virtual machine. You could possibly use another Debian-based distribution, such as Linux Mint or even Debian itself. However, there are differences between these and I recommend installing the exact version I have to limit problems. First we need to download the Ubuntu 19.04 desktop DVD ISO image. Go to Ubuntu.com and then click on download and then click on 19.04 under Ubuntu desktop. This will download the image using http. It should choose the 64-bit version automatically. If you like to download using BitTorrent, go to releases.ubuntu.com/19.04 and scroll down until you see the torrent images. This may be faster and put less load on the server.
