Setting ACLs is quite easy using setfacl. The syntax is longer for setfacl but the job is easier. There's no real strategy to setting ACL other than just giving the users the permissions they need. Permissions can be granted to multiple users as well as multiple groups. ACLs can also be set recursively using the -R option.
