Managing software with DNF

- [Instructor] If you need to install software from the command line, you can do so using the DNF package manager. DNF stands for dandified yum and it's an upgraded version of the yum package manager that CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux use. There's a few different things you can do with this. Once DNF finds all of the packages that it needs to update it'll show you a summary. In this case, it shows that I need to install 803 megabites, installing seven new packages and upgrading 418. that are going to be updated, the architecture, the version, and which repository it's coming from. The repository I see here is updates testing so I'll skip that for now. I'll cancel this with N. DNF also provides some tools to search for and install specific packages. To search, I can use dnf search or a term to search for. I'll write dnf search nano and here I can see quite a few results. The results are broken up into a few sections. Up at the top, I see exact matches for my search term by name…
