Managing Zypper repositories
- [Instructor] In addition to managing packages, we can manage the repositories that Zypper uses to find those packages. In regular daily use, a user is probably not going to need to change repositories, but an administrator or developer might. So, let's take a look at working with repositories. We can take a look at the repositories that Zypper knows about using zypper repos, or zypper rl. This gives us a table showing numbered rows, one for each repo. We can see the alias and the name of the repo, whether it's enabled, whether it uses cryptographic verification, and whether it's included in the list of repositories to refresh when the zypper refresh command is used to update the local copy of repository information. Notice that some of the repositories are disabled. This was a selection that was made during installation.
