- [Instructor] Networks let us connect computers and devices together to share resources, provide communication, and just generally get things done. And because Linux is used for so many servers and other devices, it's important to understand how to connect Linux devices to networks. I'm Scott Simpson, and in this course I'll show you how to do just that. We'll start out with a look at the tools available to you for managing network connections and then move into configuring ethernet and wireless network adapters using the network manager toolkit and manually on CentOS and Ubuntu.
Then we'll go a little bit deeper and look at some monitoring and firewall configuration. After that, I'll show you how to configure a Linux machine to route traffic on your network. A good understanding of networking is an essential piece of your overall Linux knowledge. Let's go.
