Join Scott Simpson for an in-depth discussion in this video Lab setup, part of Linux Foundation Cert Prep: Network Filesystems and File Services (Ubuntu).
- [Narrator] In this course I'm using two Ubuntu virtual machines on the same virtual network. On the machine I'm designating as the server I'll install and configure some file sharing services and then I'll switch to the client machine to connect. Because this course focuses on introducing the common network storage and file sharing services I presume you're already familiar with working at the Linux command line and with the general ideas behind networking and permission on Linux. If you're not, be sure to check out the courses which focus on those before you continue here. I also expect that you are able to look up options and settings in the manual pages for the services we'll be configuring.
