Lab setup
- [Instructor] In this course, I'm using two Ubuntu virtual machines, one acting as a server and one as a client. They're on the same virtual network. You can follow along with two virtual machines or two real machines if you'd prefer. Because this course assumes that you already have some virtual machines running, I'm not going to go through the installation and setup process. Take a look at the Essential Commands course or other courses on installing Linux if you need to get your environment set up before continuing. I'm also assuming that you're familiar with working at the Linux command line and that you know how to use manual pages to look up options for commands. This course is targeted at intermediate Linux users, so if you're not familiar with the basics, I'd recommend you take a look at some more basic courses first. Otherwise, let's set up some services.
