- [Narrator] In this video, we'll discuss a few general guidelines for interpreting metric and graph data. This will prepare us to walk through some real world examples of Grafana Dashboards. When thinking about a framework to use when approaching the interpretation of graphs and other visualizations, we first and foremost want to consider the context around the data displayed in a visualization. Just as important, we want to consider exactly what system we are graphing. For example, we might ask questions like, is it a web server, a database? What makes this system unique, and what work, in general, do we expect it to perform? Last, there are a few ways we can set up our Grafana Dashboards to make them easier to consume and understand. When I say that we should consider the context around our data, what I mean is any information about how our system behaves that we know before we begin to look at any graphs.
