- [Instructor] Using the data from statsd_script.py in the previous video, we will create our first Grafana dashboard. We'll dive much deeper into Grafana dashboards later, but this illustrates that the StatsD server is receiving data and forwarding it on to Graphite and Grafana. So the first thing we'll do is open a new tab in Chrome and navigate to localhost colon 3000. This will bring us to the Grafana UI, and we will log in as super secure user admin, password admin. These are the defaults for Grafana. Now that we're at the home dashboard, we can click up in the top left where it says Home and then New Dashboard. Here we can select Graph, click on the panel title, and then choose Edit. Here we see where we can choose from various metrics. So we'll start, because we are getting metrics from StatsD, with the stats metric, then counters, then statsd underscore script.
