- [Instructor] In this section we will review the basic panel types offered by Grafana in greater detail. As described in previous videos, Grafana offers seven panel types, the graph, singlestat, dashboard list, table, text block, heatmap, and alert list. Because we explored the graph, Grafana's main panel type used to generate graphs of time series data in the previous section, we will now look more closely at the other six types. The first panel type we will dig into is the singlestat. The singlestat panel allows you to display one main summary statistic for a series of data. It reduces the series into a single number based on the max, min, average, or sum of values in the series. You can also configure a singlestat panel to show thresholds via changing the color of the stat or panel background. Furthermore, you can configure gauges which give a clear picture of how high a value is. For example, gauges are a great way to see if a value is close to its thresholds. Singlestats can…
