Create a storage pool using virt-manager

- [Instructor] We need to create a storage pool for our virtual machines. We will create a file-based storage pool, which is basically a directory in the file system. We'll then create a storage volume in it. We can use the Virt SH command, or the Virt manager gui tool to create the storage pool. For this exercise, we'll use the Virt manager gui tool. To start, go to the Applications menu, down to System Tools, and then over and down to Virtual Machine Manager. Enter your password when prompted. This will bring up the gui interface. Go to the Edit menu and select Connection Details. And then click on the Storage tab. This will show the existing storage pools and details about them, such as the size, location, and state. You can also see if they have volumes in them. To create your new storage pool, click the plus at the bottom of the window, and the Add Storage Pool wizard will start. For the name, let's call it Rhpool1 and make sure the type is Filesystem Directory. And then click on…
