- [Narrator] In a previous video, we created an lvm linear volume by adding a second drive to our volume group. In that scenario the first drive is filled up and then the second drive will get used. Using lvm we can create a mirror to give us one level of redundancy in case one of the physical drives fail. Before we start, we will want to clear out some old drives. Let's start by deleting the volume group and logical volume that system storage manager created. Type in sudo vgremove ssmpool and hit enter. Type in your password if prompted. It will ask if you want to remove the ssmpool volume group. Say yes. It will then ask if you want to remove the ssmvol logical volume. Say yes again. And verify with lsblk. We see that we have sdb1 and sdc1 drives that aren't being used for anything. Now let's create a mirror with these two drives. Type in clear. And then type in sudo vgcreate vgmirror /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1. And hit enter. Now let's verify with pvs. Type in sudo pvs and hit enter. We…
