Virtual networking can be complex. By default KVM uses network address translation to map VM IP addresses to real IP addresses. This works fine until you want to access the VM from the physical network or from another VM. In this video you change the networking so the VMs get an IP address on the physical network. This allows the VMs to communicate with each other.
