There are some major differences between running a virtual machine and a real physical machine. With a physical machine you can look at the screen to interact with it. With VMs, there is no screen. The output from the VM needs to be made available to the user. In this video you add a virtual video card to our kickstart VM and pass some parameters to the Linux kernel when it boots so you can have both graphical and text consoles that display the entire boot process.
