From active status to engagement bots, scheduling, emojis, adding content, and even voicemail and the ability to launch a live meeting. A lot can be done through LinkedIn Messaging. So let's take a look at some best practices. Best Practice Number One, make the most of the active status. Now active status is the little green circle on both your laptop and mobile versions of LinkedIn that lets you know if your connection is currently active on LinkedIn. If they are active, it becomes an opportunity to start a conversation, really a chat, on Messaging. I've actually sold a client using the chat to start a conversation, which we then took to the phone. Nothing like real, live conversation with your prospect.
