- Static images are great in Instagram, but a good video is far more engaging if done well. That said, Instagram only allows the video post to be 60 seconds long. You might be thinking, wait a minute, I've watched videos longer than that on Instagram, in which case you'd be correct. If you download and install another Instagram app called, IGTV, which stands for Instagram TV, it'll allow a video post to be 60 minutes long, but the file size cannot exceed 3.6 gigabytes. So we're inside my Glitch Good Studios, Instagram profile. And if you look at the grid view, which is the icon of the nine squares in the middle, to the left, right next to that, to the right, is IGTV icon. So once you install that app and you record a video, let's say on your iPhone or Android phone, and then through that app, IGTV app, you can upload it and it will appear on your Instagram account.
