Picking a thumbnail that drives action
(upbeat music) - So how do you choose a thumbnail for your LinkedIn video that drives action and engagement? Well, first of all, a thumbnail is the image that will show up in the feed of your video. And on LinkedIn, that also serves as the first frame of your video. So whatever is the first frame of your video on LinkedIn, that will always be what shows up as the thumbnail on LinkedIn. So let's go over great thumbnails for videos. Here is an example of a brand, Roux Academy, and I made this video with Eric, another LinkedIn creator, and we have a great image in the background. We have the logo for the brand, and also, of course, Roux Academy for Art, Media, and Design. Now this is a great first frame because she is aligned properly on the rule of thirds, and also she's painting, and we see that she's a student. So this is a great first frame.
