Once you select a course or video to watch, you will be brought to the course page. This page is filled with features to help customize and improve your learning experience.
- [Instructor] Once you've found a course or video that you want to watch, you can click on it to enter the course page. Here, I'm going to click on a course. I'll click on Finding a Job. And once I do that, it brings me to this course page. Now, here you can see several features. Up at the top, you have the ability to like the course, so if there is a course that you like, you can help provide that social proofing and click here on the thumbs up. Next to that, you have the bookmark, and that is the Save icon. So we've looked at saving courses before, and here is where you can do that.
I'll go ahead and click on it, and then remember that it allows us to add that to a collection if we want to. Next to this, we have the Share icon. If I click there, it allows you to share it on social media, on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as to embed the video. And you can go ahead and copy that embed code right here. Next to this, I'll click on the three dots icon, and if I click on this, it's going to tell me that this is a feature available on the mobile app, which you can download on the App Store or on Google Play, and then download courses to your mobile device to watch them offline.
Also here, you have one for feedback. And if I click on this, it's going to ask if I need help, and you can go to the Help section. If you want to give feedback on the site, you can do that here, and if you want to give feedback on a course, you can do that here. I do recommend giving feedback, as we are constantly looking to improve and help tailor the site to the learner. I'm going to close this, and then to the right on the course page, we have the navigation bar. Right now, I'm currently on the Contents tab, and it's showing me a table of contents for this course.
So it shows me each chapter, the first chapter is Preparing for Your Job Hunt. And then shows the individual videos that are in that chapter. And as you can see, all of the videos are very short in length and on a different topic. So here I can click on Setting Job Hunting Objectives to start that video. - [Narrator] Any job will do if you don't know what you want or... - [Instructor] And it starts that inside of the player. Down below, if I scroll, you'll see here the whole table of contents. Now up at the top on the menu, if I click on the Overview tab, it gives us an overview of the course.
So it tells us the length, what level it's at. So this is a beginner-level course, when the course was released, a description, as well as learning objectives. Below that you have the author, you have the number of people who have liked it, who have viewed it. And it even gives some related courses. Now up at the top, there's a Question and Answer section. This is something I'll talk about in another video. We have Transcripts, and here you can see all of the words that are being spoken in the video. It's a neat feature when you click Play.
- [Narrator] Where you're headed. I know people who have set up hundreds of resumes over... - [Instructor] You'll see that these blue lines follow along with the video showing you where it's at in the transcript. Next to this, you may have exercise files if there are files for a course. This is something I'll talk about in another video, as well as the Notebook. Again, something I'll talk about in another video. But that is the course page. In the center of the screen is the video player. Next, let's take a look at the video player controls, and how you can use them to customize your learning experience.
