How do you measure conversions for your Sponsored InMail Campaigns? Learn how to set conversion tracking for your campaigns, and how to use insight tags and add them to your site's code.
If you're managing multiple accounts, you can only use one Insight Tag across all of your webpages. Click Add another account to add more accounts to this Insight Tag. Two different types of permissioning that you have, Full access and Use-only. Now when you select Full access, the account that you grant permission to will also be able to share this tag with other accounts. Use-only will only grant access to use this Insight Tag. Once you're finished, simply click Add account.
Once you're ready to create your conversions, hover over Account Assets and click into Conversion Tracking. You can either edit existing Conversion Tracking you've set up or you can create new conversions and LinkedIn has provided a form that guides you through the process where you can add your Conversion name, select the different Conversion types, add a Value for your conversions, as well as add different URLs using Exact, Starts with, or Contains logic. Once you're finished with the conversion set up, you can click Save.
Now you can add conversion actions to existing campaigns by clicking into your account, and then enter the campaign that you'd like to use. So, for example, I'll add conversions to my Executive_Events_Fall event. Now at the top navigation, you'll see Select Conversions, and I already have two conversions that are set up. The status is Unverified but I can still add them to the campaign. Your campaign will be ready to track conversions properly once this is verified. Now hit Apply once you're ready and you'll be done.
Now if you wanted to add Conversion Tracking to a brand-new Sponsored InMail campaign, follow the Create campaign process, Select Sponsored InMail, follow the steps to add Campaign name and selecting a Target audience language. And then similarly you can click Select conversions and select the conversions that you have. Remember to set up the conversions in the Insight Tag first and then add them to your campaigns.
