Learn how to build your list of leads using Sales Navigator Lead Builder. In this video, Donna Alexander demonstrates how to use Lead Builder's advanced search filters to locate leads by keywords, geography, company, industry and title.
- [Instructor] A very big part of working in Sales Navigator is building your list of leads. How do you comb through the millions of global LinkedIn members to find the people you want to do business with? Through Sales Navigator's search functionality. Let's look at two ways to efficiently identify leads within Sales Navigator. We'll start by using Sales Navigator's advanced search capability called Lead Builder. Once we click on Lead Builder, we're able to start our advanced search.
I'm looking for somebody at a certain company so let's go ahead and enter LinkedIn. The person I'm looking for is going to be located in Toronto and if I recall correctly, in their job title, they have program manager. As I can see up at the top, my results were updating as I entered my filters. I hit Search and I'll be provided with my results. So the person I'm looking for is Donna at LinkedIn.
From the left, we can see our search filters which we can modify if we wanted to expand or narrow our results. One of the features I wanna highlight when it comes to search is saving the search. With Save Search, what LinkedIn Sales Navigator will do is run the search for you once every 24 hours and provide you with results according to your request. So let's save this search as Toronto. I'm going to set my alerts for Daily so I can be updated on any new profiles that are added that meet my criteria and hit the check mark.
That way, I'm going to be able to get my new results once every 24 hours and make sure that I'm aware of any changes that are happening in the network. Now, this was one way for us to run our search if we were starting rather broadly but what if we know the name of the person that we're looking for right off the bat? This is where our search bar comes in handy. We can type in the name of the person we're looking for and then go ahead and select that profile.
So once I reach the profile page, LinkedIn automatically encourages me to save this person as a lead. You can follow the step by step to be walked through that process or just hit Save as Lead. Once I save somebody as a lead, this will help me to be better engaged with that person and get more timely information on that prospect's activity. This will allow me to more easily build rapport and better engage with the people I wanna connect with.
Sales Navigator allows you to conduct targeted searches or build broader lead lists and don't forget to save your search and set those alerts so Sales Navigator can do the work for you. Harness Sales Navigator's rich search tools and saved lead functionality to identify top leads and stay on top of your relationships.
