- [Oliver] If you complete a course on LinkedIn Learning, congratulations. Not only have you improved yourself by acquiring new skills and knowledge, but you're demonstrating that you're an adaptable lifelong learner. Once you finish a course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion. Here you can see that I have finished the Teaching Techniques for Project-Based Learning course, and when I was done, this screen popped up saying congratulations, Oliver. You can now showcase your completed course on your LinkedIn profile.
So you do have a couple options. First of all, you can download your certificate. If I click here, it will go ahead and download that. And you can see there that this is the certificate of completion for that specific course. If I go back over here, you also have the ability to add this to your LinkedIn profile, something I strongly recommend. So here I can click Add to Profile, and once I click on this, it provides this box, showing me what this post will look like. It will say that I earned the certificate for Teaching Techniques: Project-Based Learning.
It asks if I want to add skills that I acquired through that course to my LinkedIn profile. If you don't want to, you can click off of it. If you do want to, you can click on it, and then below, you have the ability to share this with your network. You can put just finished the course Teaching Techniques and send that out. Now maybe you want to add this to your profile, but you don't want to send out this message. That's fine, you can check this box and then it will not share that with your network. I'm going to go ahead and click add to profile, and now if I navigate back to my LinkedIn account.
I'll go over here to my LinkedIn profile, and when I scroll down, you'll see here that I have one certification, or one certificate, and that is for the course that I just completed. So being an efficient and willing lifelong learner is one of the most important skills you can have. In the digital age, things are changing quickly. I've asked hundreds of employers what the must important skills that potential employees can possess, and one of the top answers has been the ability and willingness to keep learning new things.
So when you do finish a course on LinkedIn Learning, I recommend that you share your certificate of completion to show the world, to show potential employers, or your current employer, that you are constantly learning and developing new skills.
