During onboarding, you set your sales preferences, but what if they change? Your territory may have changed or your company line size may have grown. In this video, learn how to change your sales preferences as your prospecting diversifies.
- [Instructor] When you completed your Sales Navigator onboarding, you set your sales preferences to have Sales Navigator provide you with tailored recommendations according to your current business needs, but what happens if something changes? Let's say your territory changes, or your industry focus adjusts. Let's look at how you can adjust your sales preferences so that you continue to receive lead recommendations that are beneficial for your business. From the home page, we want to hover over our profile picture, and click on Settings.
This brings us up to our Sales Navigator settings. So within our settings, we can see our sales preferences towards the middle of the page. Now, let's say my territory has changed, I'm no longer covering anything international, strictly looking at the Eastern Seaboard, so I'm going to select Miami, I can start typing in the location, once it populates, click the plus, once I see a blue check mark, that's a good sign. Then I can go ahead and also add Baltimore, 'cause that's going to be one other area of focus for me.
And again, once I see that blue check mark, that's good. Go down to the bottom, click done, and as we can see, my geographies have now been updated. If I needed to make changes or updates to my industry, company size, or function, I would do that in the exact same way. Now, if we've removed any of the options, you can do that just by clicking on the blue check mark, once it's grayed out, that means it's no longer selected. Now remember, you can adjust your sales preferences at any time, so don't hesitate to tell Sales Navigator the locations, industry, company size, and functions, that will help you continue to build relationships.
This keeps the realtime information that you receive on leads and accounts relevant.
