- [Instructor] Previously, we took a look at how to search LinkedIn Learning for individual courses and videos to help you brush up on or learn entirely new skills for the jobs you'll be applying to. But there might be times when you find you need to develop a broader range of skills, or to broaden the scope around your own knowledge base. Or, you may just not know where to begin learning a new skill. This is where Learning Paths can help. Learning Paths are collections of courses that are organized around a specific topic or career track. You can start by performing a search for a key word or topic, for example, let's search for management skills.
And this takes us to the Search Results page, which we looked at earlier. But over here in the Filters area, you'll find Learning Paths under Type. Select that, and you'll get a list of all the Learning Paths related to this topic. So, you can see we have Learning Paths to master in-demand skills for technology leadership, or to become a manager, or to become a government project manager, and so on. Just click one that interests you to go to its landing page. At the top of the page you'll be able to read a short description of what following this Learning Path will teach you.
And to the right, you can see how many hours of training are included in this path, in this case, 10 hours of expert-created content. And below that you can see how many courses are included here, in this case nine items of learning content. If quizzes are included in the content, you'll see the number of quizzes as well. And down below, you'll see the individual courses that have been compiled into this path. You can click on any one of these courses to see a short preview video. - Throughout your life, you'll have many tasks assigned to you, and you'll hand off tasks to others.
- [Instructor] And we'll just close that for now. And at the bottom of the page, you'll see a list of the authors of the courses in this path, if you want to learn a little bit more about them and their qualifications. And when you're ready, you can click Start Learning to begin the Learning Path. Now, of course you're not required to follow this path in its entirety. If you find an individual course in here that seems perfectly aimed at what you're trying to learn, you can just search for the course itself from the Search field at the top of the page and jump into it from there. But be sure to take some time to check out the entire Learning Path.
Because all Learning Paths have been hand-curated and designed to help you develop the skills and professional knowledge you need to assist you along your career path.
