- [Narrator] In the digital age, things are changing faster than ever. Technology has been a catalyst for change and lifelong learners are becoming increasingly important. In fact, one of the most important skills that you can possess as an employee or a potential employee. Is the willingness and ability to learn new things. Do you feel that your skillset and understanding of the current software titles are up to date? How can you show others that your continuing to learn new things? For these, I have the solution. With any LinkedIn premium subscription, you'll have access to the full LinkedIn learning library. With over 13 thousand courses, taught by industry leaders on a wide range of topics. Let's take a look at this feature. Right now I'm inside of Tracy Westbay's account. Which is a premium account. So on the upper-right corner, there is an icon here for learning. I'll click on that. And that brings me to the LinkedIn learning page. Here, it will give you recommendations based on your account. As well as the different skills, interests, job titles that you have. So for Tracy, they're recommending trending courses for creative designers. If I scroll down, you'll see here; stay sharp on digital marketing. And so on. Now up at the top, I can browse the library. So if I click the library icon, it shows me the entire business library, the creative library and the technology library. Now in here, they'll have courses on individual skills as well as software titles. Let's say for instance, here; under business that I wanted to go to Microsoft Excel. If I click on this, I can see that there are 6111 results. Just for Microsoft Excel. But I can narrow this down. Let's say to; courses. And there are 179 courses that are available here. If I click on a specifc course. For example, Excel 2016 essential training, it takes me to that course. Here I can see an overview. As well as the author and read more about them. Up at the top, if I click on contents. You'll see here the table of contents for the course. And I really like the way that this is laid out. There are individual videos that are pretty short. And you can watch them on each specific topic. So you could watch this as an entire course. Or just pick and choose the videos that you'd need to watch. Now, I want to go back here. And there is one other option. And that is learning paths. Learning paths are a collection of courses that you can watch to master a specific skill. In this case, here there is a learning path for mastering Microsoft Excel. If I click on that, it will show me the different courses that I'm required to take in order to achieve completion of this learning path. Now, once you complete a course inside of LinkedIn learning. The great thing is, is that you can share that with your network. So you have the ability to download a certificate. But you can also add it to your profile. So this is a design course that Tracy has taken. And she's completed it. And if I click on add to profile. It will bring up here, the course. Show me what it will look like. Here it'll have the title, where it's from. As well as when she completed it. And it will also show skills that will be added to your profile because you did finish this. Then you can decide if you want to share that with your network. Decide if that's public, or just to your connections. And then, like that, you can add it to your profile. Now if I navigate back to Tracy's profile, here. And scroll down. We can see down here that under accomplishments, she has that certification for learning graphic design, things every graphic designer should know. And it gives information for that course, that she just completed. So as you can see, LinkedIn learning is an incredibly powerful tool for professional development. And with any LinkedIn premium subscription, you'll have access to the entire library. Something I strongly recommend that you take advantage of.
