Why use different methods of projection?

- Throughout our lesson so far, we've been merging things together and allowing Lightroom to guess on the best method. But there are many ways to project the panorama. Not only can you choose the automatic method, but you have three specific choices, depending upon the source images. and build the panorama around it, or projecting it along a cylinder that's then rolled out flat or the inside of a sphere. Depending upon how you shot the panorama, on the aesthetic looks, you might choose between these different methods. Remember, Lightroom gives you the flexibility to change methods, although sometimes a method might not work at all or fail. And this'll depend upon how you shot the image. for the intended output. Maybe you want to map something spherical because you're going to, then, take it and put it into a multimedia application so it can be part of an interactive tour.
