- Okay, so up until now, we've handled all of our raw processing in Lightroom, and I don't think there's a better place to do it than Lightroom. Lightroom is great because all of your images live here, you can apply settings to multiple files. You're always living in the moment, you don't have to save anything out, and you're always working in this nice non-destructive environment where I can go back and I can track back in the history of my files. But Photoshop is a key part of a lot of different people's workflows, and it's really important to understand the difference between editing your files in Lightroom and editing them in Photoshop because once we jump over to Photoshop, we're translating raw files into a language which Photoshop understands. Lightroom understands it natively. Photoshop needs a plugin to convert it.
