(upbeat playful music) - We've all seen those images that take you to paradise. That's exactly where I am right now. Hi, I'm Justin Reznick, and in the following course we're going to talk about how to make the best images possible in tropical landscapes. We're going to start with one of my favorite things to photograph in the world, trees. Here on Maui, we have palm trees, which we see in a lot of tropical landscapes, but more uniquely, we have rainbow eucalyptus, we also have banyan trees, and an incredible bamboo forest. So all these areas we're going to explore and really embrace trees, moving on to plants and flowers. Botanical gardens can be found throughout tropical landscapes, and we're going to visit one and work on macro lenses, static shots, focal blends, even some multiple exposure work, we're going to get super creative. And then, as we see in many beautiful tropical landscapes, we get the ocean, the beach, palm trees, sand, sky. The whole idea is to put it all together to evoke the emotion of paradise. We also want to embrace the lava rocky shore that we get here, wonderful channels as the waves come in and out, play with some long exposures. It's going to be a ton of fun exploring the coast. And finally, because we get so much water in certain parts of the island, waterfalls. I love to shoot water, as you guys probably know if you've seen some previous courses. So we're going to focus on trying to find something all our own, something unique, and do a waterfall in a way that hasn't been done before. All right, let's go explore paradise.
