Vignette effects for composition

- [Instructor] I use Vignette effects on pretty much every photo. With a vignette you can either darken or lighten the edges. Vignette's found in the Effects panel, which is inside of Edit. I'm going to jump there with a Command + Three. You could do the same with Control + Three on Windows. Then I'm going to close out the Library panel here. Let's see how we can add a vignette to this subject and really improve the composition here. I'm going to take the Vignette to the left for a minus amount, which slightly darkens down the edges. You could go to the right to lighten it, but I'm not really a fan of that look. I like to darken the edges down. A vignette can be very subtle and barely perceptible and still work to improve the image composition. Let's do a before and after and see how that very slight Vignette really helps this image. It pulls the focus onto our subject. Vignettes, they work great for landscape images too.…
