Tethering with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

- One of the most readily available pieces of software that you'll have to tether is going to be Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. By default, it only works with Nikon and Canon cameras for the most part, but there are some third-party add-ons as well as some other camera support that you can find. Now, what you're gonna want to do is make sure that your camera is connected using a USB cable and then plug it into your laptop. I've already got the camera set up here and I've dialed in my basic settings of about one 200th of a second for the shutter speed because I'm shooting with strobes, and I'll make some other tweaks. One of the challenges here is that Nikon is a fairly straightforward transfer, as is Canon, but you can't actually control it from Lightroom other than firing the shot. So let's head on over and I'll show you how this works. Now when you're in Lightroom, it's pretty simple to access tethering. You'll just choose File, Start Tethered Capture.
