Okay, let's synchronize the settings across the two clips. It's very quick and easy. Just remember, not everything can be synched. To do this, select both clips, so they're highlighted, and switch back to the library module. When you do this, you can click on Sync Settings. And this will take the two clips and attempt to make them match. Note, it pops up the option telling you what you can sync. For example, highlights and shadows, not really an option.
It's going to take it, but it doesn't let you adjust it. Tones, curves, clarity, sharpening, it looks like it's going to pull it across, but I can't modify it. So, let's synchronize those and we'll see what it tells us. Not bad, some of the controls that I used, while I can't adjust them in the quick develop module, they did come across. Now, if I was over here and I did a few other things like, for example, let's say I was modifying a little bit more.
We'll switch to Develop really quick, and I started to use some custom white balance. Let's take that down to Custom. There we go. I cooled that down a bit, and I was working with that, but I, I wanted to lift the shadows a little bit more, recover the highlights. And then down here, under the Lens Correction, I started to adjust this a bit manually, and I wanted to fix some of that wide angle distortion and scale that up.
All right. Easy enough. I made some adjustments. Let's select both clips. And when I tell those to sync, not everything's going to come across. Let's switch back to the library module so we can see both. So, here's the still and here's the video clip. So, you see that the post cropping yet and some of the wide angled distortion correction could not be moved across between the two. But still, this was much more flexible than using the quick develop module.
So, if you really want to take precise control, simply pop a still over into the develop module and then sync the settings across.
