Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Setting up the GoPro, part of Tethered Shooting Fundamentals.
Okay.…I'm just gettin' some of the GoPro gear ready,…so I can start to build it out there.…Couple pieces here. We're goin' with three GoPro units.…Now, that's because I own three GoPro units, but we're shooting a tennis match.…So it's going to make sense to have a camera…pointed each way on the court to get each player.…Now, to do that, I'm using some Joby GorillaPods, this is…going to make it really easy to attach these to the net.…And basically, I'm going to have them cross shooting in opposite directions.…Now, in order to control those, we're going to use the wireless remote.…
But, since I'm going to have to be really quick and be able…to get both of the cameras going, I'm going to have two separate controls.…So I've got my iPad and my phone with the GoPro app installed…on each one, so I can have a separate device to control each camera.…Now you can switch between cameras with one device, but I find,…with something like sports, it just makes more sense to have two controls.…So we're looking pretty good…
These techniques work well both in the studio and in the field, so you'll be prepared for all tethered shooting scenarios.
