Erika Thornes edits the saturation on each color in silhouettes individually. She teaches how much more controlled the colors can be when you correct for colors individually instead of using saturation in the basics panel of Lightroom.
- [Instructor] Alright, we're about to leave the…tone curve and move on to the HSL panel.…I want to make sure we are all on the same page…before we go.…We've got the light set to plus 22,…and the darks to negative 11.…That works for this image.…Your image might be different,…but let's go with it for here.…Alright, now we're in the HSL panel.…It has adjustments for hue, saturation, luminance…and we can adjust it to be able to see them all.…You know, I would normally say we'll start in hue…but for this image,…we're going to start in saturation.…Okay, now this image needs some saturation…in individual color places.…
Now, remember, above we were able to adjust saturation…for the entire image…and it was more of a global change.…I would like to adjust saturation…on the individual colors.…It gives this a more pleasing and accurate…and refined way to edit the colors…to bring out the best in whatever sunset we have.…So let's start playing and see what it can do.…Alright so I like to see a little bit…more red in this image…
