- When you want to merge images together inside of Lightroom, there are a couple of things that it's going to look for. Essentially it comes down to metadata. You need the ability to make sure that the images contain enough information that Lightroom can perform the merge. Now, of course, you need 25% or more overlap for the images, but it is going to look for a couple of things. that are the same size, so it's important that you give it the raw files. In the middle of shooting, Continue shooting everything at the same size. Now, I have successfully stitched together panoramas Additionally, it will often look for the same f stop, or aperture. for the same f stop, or aperture. Now, it can ignore this particular if you're shooting with a manual lens. But ideally, you keep everything at the same f stop all the way through.
