One of the main reasons why I like using a quick…release style system, is it gives me more flexibility during the shoot.…Let's say we're shooting and like now, the battery's…starting to run low because we've been shooting for awhile.…Well, what I don't want to have to do is stop everything, unscrew…it, take it all apart, and then have to screw everything back together again.…The nice thing is, is that if you've got a quick release system, you…could just pop the camera off, make the change, and put it right back…on the system. It's really pretty easy.…So, at this point, I'll just flip the lever,…it releases the jaws, and the camera comes right off.…
You know how easy that was.…I still have access to everything I need,…in this case, the battery compartment's right here.…I'll just open up that drawer, pop that out.…And I still have a good battery in the camera, but I always…like to keep both of them fresh so I don't lose a shot.…Pop that in,…drop it in and reconnect. And the camera's ready to go.…Now, the switchback time is minimal.…
These techniques work well both in the studio and in the field, so you'll be prepared for all tethered shooting scenarios.
