Preparing the camera

- So I have my tripod set to go. I've chosen this spot on the bricks. And the next thing to do is to choose my exposures. I like to do that with the camera off the tripod when possible, and I can use the spot meter to aim and find the exposure for my highlights, and then for my shadows. So starting with the shadows. The meter's telling me around a tenth of a second. We'll do a little test shot and just see how it looks on the back using the histogram. Same thing with the highlights. Peering up into the sky, just finding a spot between the trees. Tells me it's pretty fast, about a six fortieth maybe. And again, I'm gonna take a quick check on the LCD. So I'm going to set up some bracketing here. I'm not sure if it's really necessary. I could choose kind of a middle exposure, and just process the one exposure all the way around. But by bracketing, I ensure that I have everything. And if I wanna use a single exposure later, I can. So my camera told me a tenth of a second was the slowest…
